Carry less and live more

expresses the true freedom and joy of life experienced only when owning the essentials. Inspired by Korean traditional cloth, Bojaki, it transforms into three carriers depending on the amount of stuff being carried. When you carry more, the outer surface embraces the inner surface. When you carry less, the inner surface mimics the blooming of life as it falls out.

Departure Point

Everyday before leaving the house, we pack up a bag. A bag with stuff that will make us through the day. As time pases, our carriers in life got bigger and bigger. Today, we live in material obesity. Our society defines carrier as a necessity but also as a confinement in daily life. How can we solve this delimma? With the question in mind, the relationship between us and our everyday carrier is further studied.

Inspiration

A Korean traditional cloth that changes its shape and property according to the subject it embraces. It is also communicated as not just a medium to wrap around stuff but also as a medium to embrace the innerself, expressing the Eastern manners of treating stuf with care.
What if we can promote "minimal living" by reviving and modernizing the culture of Bojaki?

"Bundle, made with bojaki, is the minimum we carry through our lives.“
